Meet the Founder
Jamie Hanlon
Accessible Futures was founded by Jamie Hanlon, a disability access consultant, inclusive design specialist and business coach with over a decade of experience helping organisations improve accessibility across the UK.
Combining professional expertise with lived experience of disability, Jamie recognised a common challenge: people often struggle to find clear, reliable accessibility information when planning where to visit, stay or explore.
Accessible Futures was created to bridge that gap—connecting people with organisations committed to accessibility while making trusted accessibility information easier to find, understand and share.
Today, Accessible Futures continues that mission by helping create a more transparent, inclusive and accessible future for everyone.

Experience and Expertise:
– our story –
Building a More Accessible Future
Accessible Futures was born from a simple observation: finding reliable accessibility information shouldn’t be difficult. We set out to create a trusted platform that helps people explore with confidence while encouraging more accessible communities across the UK.
We recognised that reliable accessibility information was often difficult to find, making it harder for people to plan their visits with confidence and comfort.
We learned from disabled people, carers, businesses, and accessibility advocates to better understand everyday experiences and accessibility challenges.
Those insights shaped Accessible Futures into a trusted directory that makes accessibility information easier to discover, understand, filter, and share.
Today we’re working with communities and businesses to expand accessible places while helping more people explore with greater confidence.
